To Bid or Not to Bid - Starting with a good foundation will help The temptation is to never pass up an opportunity. The reality is you can often at best lose credibility or worse, miss your targets by not bidding at full strength for each tender. Obviously no one consciously sets out to lose a bid, but in a game where second place might as well be last you owe it to yourselves to ask one simple question "Are the people available to form a viable bid team?". Having the appropriate resources throughout the life of the bid is essential. Having sufficient and qualified bid team members is vital. Many bid managers have experienced an underwhelming level of support in the past. FM tenders are particularly susceptible to divided loyalties.
